Description
UniBlock 110 is a two-component adhesive based on epoxy-polyester resins, which is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, as it possesses the physicochemical properties of epoxy resins and the pour point of polyester glue. A big plus of this glue is the ability to carry out work and installation at low temperature, which is very important in the winter. It is perfectly polished, does not stick after hardening. Well tinted in the color you need under the shade of your stone.
Hardening:
When 3% of the catalyst is added to the paste, the product solidifies in about 10 minutes (at 23 ° C)
The lower exothermic peak, appearing in the solidification phase, provides a moderate shrinkage, one of the lowest for products in this category. After curing, the adhesive can withstand temperatures above 80 ° C without softening.
Application area:
- Bonding of synthetic agglomerates and artificial stone, marble, granite, ceramics, where the final aesthetic appearance of the seam is important. By its consistency and appearance, the product is recommended for crystalline products, multicolored marble and granite.
Features:
- Good adhesion to all types of natural and artificial stone (provided sufficient porosity).
- Recommended for indoor use.
Mode of application:
- The material to be processed must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease and chips.
- Polished surfaces should be previously sandpapered.
- Use in the original form or with appropriate coloring pastes (max 3%) or powder of the same stone.
- Mix thoroughly with hardener / catalyst in a proportion of not more than 3% of the weight of the base material.
- The texture remains suitable for application for a short time, which can vary depending on the amount of hardener, temperature, density and other conditions.
- Apply on one or both surfaces to be joined and lightly press them against each other.
- Polished surfaces should be previously sandpapered.
- The cured product remains translucent with a white tint, light or invisible in a thin layer
- After ~ 3 hours after curing (at 23 ° C), the material can be processed (drilling, grinding, polishing, etc.)
- Use a solvent to clean the tools.
Note
- The retention of a slight tack after adhesion promotes a significant increase in adhesion.
- The maximum adhesive effect is observed after 24 hours
- Note
- After about a week, the color of the hardened filler gets a slightly yellowish shade.
Recommendations:
- Styrene is released during work and during hardening; Protect hands with impermeable gloves and ventilate the room to reduce the risk of breathing fumes. Refer to additional safety information in the Material Safety Data Sheet.
- High temperatures (> 30 ° C) or use of more than 2% hardener accelerates the reaction, reduces adhesion and can lead to severe darkening of the composition.
- Low temperatures (<5 ° C) or use of less than 1% hardener slow the reaction and can cause surface fatness.
- Freezing and thawing, strong and frequent changes in temperature and humidity reduce chemical resistance.
- The hardened adhesive can only be removed mechanically
